New York governor to support anti-Israel Zohran Mamdani: 'Will fight antisemitism'

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has officially endorsed anti-Israel candidate Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor. In a column for the New York Times, Hochul, considered a moderate in the Democratic Party, explained that despite their disagreements, she sees him as a leader committed to reducing the cost of living and improving residents' safety. She noted that she and Mamdani met and "discussed the need to urgently and unequivocally combat rising antisemitism. I was pleased to see him meeting with Jewish leaders across the city, listening and directly addressing their concerns."
