Jake Wood, CEO of the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF), unexpectedly announced his immediate resignation, claiming that 'the aid program cannot be implemented while adhering to humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, fairness and independence - principles I will not abandon.' In his resignation statement, he urged Israel 'to significantly expand aid delivery to Gaza through all possible means' and called on all involved parties 'to continue exploring innovative ways to deliver aid - without delay, without distractions and without discrimination.' He stated, 'The only path to a sustainable long-term solution is the release of all hostages by Hamas, cessation of fighting, and establishing a path toward peace, security and dignity for all people in the region.'
