Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, one of the leaders of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party in the United States, wrote on X that "the United States must stop wasting taxpayer money funding Netanyahu's genocide government."
Sanders, who is Jewish and frequently criticizes Israel's actions in Gaza, wrote: "Trump is pushing to approve nearly $7 billion to arm Israel. We need healthcare for all Americans, not weapons for war criminals."
