New York City Mayor Zohran Madani distanced himself from his wife, Rama Dwaji, clarifying that she does not speak on his behalf after it was revealed she liked posts celebrating the Hamas attack on October 7. "My wife is the love of my life, but she is also a private individual who has not held any official role in my campaign or in the city government," Madani said in response to his wife supporting posts that included images of terrorists and calls for 'Palestinian resistance.' A city spokesperson added that Madani has repeatedly condemned Hamas and called the massacre a war crime.
