Businessman Michael Fine, 47, was extradited from Israel to the United States and will stand trial for bank fraud offenses totaling $28 million, the U.S. Attorney's Office for Missouri announced. Fine, who had been living in Israel with relatives since 2011, is accused of inflating occupancy and income data for apartment buildings in order to fraudulently obtain loans, and he faces a maximum prison sentence of 30 years for each fraud count attributed to him.
