The Hague sanctions target 4 judges; Rubio: 'They wanted to investigate U.S. and Israeli citizens'

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a statement regarding sanctions against four judges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. "Today I am announcing sanctions against Solomy Balungi Bossa from Uganda, Luz del Carmen Ibáñez Carranza from Peru, Reine Alapini-Gansou from Benin, and Betty Hohler from Slovenia, in accordance with President Trump's executive order," he stated. According to Rubio, "These four women were directly involved in ICC efforts to investigate, arrest, imprison or prosecute U.S. or Israeli citizens - without their consent. Neither the U.S. nor Israel are parties to the Rome Statute."
