NY resident attacked by ultra-Orthodox during protest against Ben-Gvir, sues city

A New York resident has filed a $1.25 million lawsuit against the city, claiming that police failed to protect her from an attack by dozens of ultra-Orthodox men and boys. The woman's identity has not been revealed due to safety concerns. She alleged that the attackers suspected she was participating in a protest against National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir last April, which prompted the attack. In footage from the incident that went viral, the woman is seen trying to escape while the crowd shouts at her, kicks her, and throws objects at her. According to her, she only left her home because she heard helicopter noise and was not part of the protest. Attorney Leo Glickman, who represents the woman, claims selective enforcement by the police. Police announced that the investigation is ongoing, but no suspects have been arrested yet. Chabad condemned the attack.
