In a broadcast from his office in Ramallah - after his entry to the United States was not approved - Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron: "On behalf of the State of Palestine, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the co-presidency, the UN and all participating countries for the historic declaration in New York that was adopted at the July conference and approved by an overwhelming majority in the General Assembly. It marked the beginning of an irreversible path to ending the humanitarian catastrophe and ending the occupation in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative."
