Amin Betuni, 37, a resident of the Chicago area, admitted to smuggling weapon parts to Israel, which he hid in packages of a George Forman toaster grill, as well as to shipments of various car parts. Betuni admitted that he sent the weapon parts to private people in Israel on at least three different occasions during 2022, and marked them with false labels. The parts included rifle barrels, bolt guns, and various parts. During a search of his home, police also found more than 1,200 rounds of ammunition, a shotgun, various types of rifles and pistols and Glock switches, which allow a firearm to fire several bullets with one pull of the trigger. Betuni is expected to receive a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
