American officials met with UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence

White House officials met with Pramila Patten, the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, who authored the UN report on the sexual violence of Hamas terrorists. The officials expressed the administration's deep concern from the horrific reports of sexual violence perpetrated by the terrorists on October 7, and from the reports of sexual violence against the hostages. The participants, including Deputy National Security Advisor, Johnathan Finer, and Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Gender Policy Council, Jennifer Klein, discussed with Patten the need to investigate the allegations and take steps to hold those responsible accountable.
