Trump slaps Israel with 17% reciprocal tariff as part of sweeping duties on imports

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Wednesday the imposition of tariffs of at least 10% on nearly all goods entering the United States, as part of a sweeping effort to address what he described as unfair trade practices.
The policy includes significantly higher rates for dozens of countries with the largest trade deficits with the U.S. Among them is Israel, which will be subject to a 17% reciprocal tariff.
