More than 300 New York City employees signed an open letter calling on Mayor Eric Adams to condemn Israel for the "genocide" it is committing in Gaza, protesting what they define as "discrimination and silencing of their opinions" against the war on Hamas. "We are appalled that the leadership of New York has declared its support for the Israeli government's mass atrocities and war crimes in Gaza," they wrote. "There is a significant suppression of freedom of expression when politicians and media falsely present demonstrations against the attacks on Gaza as 'supporting terror' rallies." (Daniel Edelson, New York)
