Rabbi Moshe Azman, one of Ukraine’s chief rabbis, has appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump to take action on behalf of Ukraine, using a song and video shared on social media. The video features scenes from the ongoing war, including a recording of an air raid siren.
In the English-language song, Azman addresses Trump directly: “You are the one who the whole world is watching, your every move, everything you do. Do not let the line between good and evil be blurred. The light will always rise, the darkness will not prevail. Donald Trump, it’s time to fight in the name of light.”
“They always lie, always hide the knife. The king’s throne is built on fear and hatred. They do not want peace, they only want blood and fire. It’s time to destroy the evil empire,” the song continues.

The video includes footage of Russian missile strikes on Kyiv on April 24, as well as scenes from Azman’s visit to a residential building in the capital hit by one of the missiles.
In the song, he emphasizes the brutal reality of the war, describing Ukraine as the victim defending its people and land, while portraying Russia as the aggressor carrying out a barbaric invasion.
