Over 1,000 pro-Palestinian Jewish demonstrators blocked the Manhattan Bridge in New York to traffic Sunday night in protest against Israel and calling for a cease-fire in Gaza. The demonstrators, many of them members of the Jewish Voice for Peace movement, wore black and chanted "New York says 'no' to war." Protesters have also attacked the Capitol Building, Grand Central Station and the Statue of Liberty in the past. (Daniel Edelson, New York)
