Air raid sirens sounded Monday afternoon in the Haifa Bay area in northern Israel and in the coastal city of Acre following rocket fire from Lebanon, the latest in a series of alerts across northern Israel.
The barrage from Lebanon included several launches, some of which were intercepted, while the others fell in open areas. No injuries were reported.

Throughout the afternoon hours, sirens also sounded in Metula, Misgav Am, Safed and communities in the western Galilee and Upper Galilee, including Avivim, Yir’on, Bar’am, Admít and Arab al-Aramshe.
Authorities said one rocket fired earlier toward the bay area was intercepted, and another rocket launched toward Safed was also shot down. Alerts in the Upper Galilee were triggered by a suspected drone infiltration.
The alerts came hours after an earlier strike from Iran hit the Bazan oil refinery complex in Haifa Bay, causing damage to nearby homes in Haifa, the Krayot and Shfaram.
In Shfaram, a home was damaged, leaving a large gaping hole in the living room ceiling. Two children suffered shock but were not physically hurt.

Family members said they do not have a protected space nearby and were forced to remain in interior rooms. Amid Raad, a cousin of the homeowner, said the two children “huddled in corners” in different parts of the house, only a few meters from the point of impact. “It’s a miracle,” he said.
One person was also reported to be lightly wounded at another scene in the city.
Energy Minister Eli Cohen said there were no casualties at the Bazan site and that the strike did not hit production facilities or disrupt Israel’s fuel supply.

“I have just spoken with the company’s managers to express support for their work on behalf of the State of Israel," Cohen said. "We will continue to ensure a regular energy supply for the entire economy.”
In a filing to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Bazan said the strike on its facility caused what it described as “non-material damage.” The company said the hit was limited to the roof of a distillates tank in Haifa Bay and caused no casualties. It added that all production facilities remained operational at the time of the filing.
