Lufthansa announced it has found the Oscar statuette belonging to Pavel Talankin, the teacher who documented how propaganda works in Russia and participated in directing the documentary Mr Nobody Against Putin.
The statuette was lost on a flight from New York to Frankfurt after Talankin was forced to check it in the cargo hold in a cardboard box because security personnel determined it could be used as a weapon. When he arrived in Frankfurt, the box was not waiting for him in the baggage claim area. A Lufthansa spokesperson confirmed the Oscar was located in Germany, apologized and added that the company is "in direct contact with the guest to arrange its personal return as soon as possible."
