U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an executive order banning entry from 12 countries: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. CBS News reported citing administration sources, who noted that partial restrictions will apply to travelers from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela. The declaration states that some of these countries serve as "fertile ground for hostile activity against U.S. citizens, institutions and values," and some have "exploited U.S. immigration policies over the years in ways that harm national security."
