In a report presented by the IDF to residents of Kfar Aza on the events of October 7, the commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Rafi Milo, said that "on the morning of the attack, 14 members of the readiness squad fought alone against about 250 terrorists." Milo also said that by 8:30 a.m. when the IDF arrived at the kibbutz, 37 people had been murdered there.
