Jordan's ambassador to US warns Israel losing relations with moderate Arab countries

Jordan's ambassador to the US, Dina Kawar, warned Thursday at a conference in Aspen that Israel "is at risk of losing its relations with Jordan and with other moderate Arab countries." According to her, "Israel is losing all Arab countries. At this point they have the agreement with Jordan and Egypt; Saudi Arabia was supposed to be signed. Right now, the Arab population and public opinion are so upset by seeing the images we see in Gaza, so it's really a loss for the entire future of the region." Kawar said that Jordan will not withdraw from the peace agreement with Israel at this stage, but noted that such a move is not out of the question. "People are very nervous about the agreement and what is happening in Gaza, and as a government we are responsible. We feel that maintaining the agreement right now is the hope for better days, but to what extent we can continue to follow this path is not clear." She also criticized the Netanyahu government for not having a plan for the 'day after' in Gaza and for harassing the Palestinian Authority.
