Throughout Hanukkah, a poignant slideshow adorned with a menorah and the names of the hostages will grace the walls of the tallest office block in Bnei Brak. As the images flicker in an eternal loop, the words of אחיינו כל בית ישראל (the whole of Israel are our brothers) and את אחיי אנכי מבקש will echo through the city, a powerful symphony of unity and yearning.
This extraordinary projection, created by "AVS - creative visual solutions," bears an even deeper personal connection. Omer, the son of the Shemtov family behind AVS, remains held captive in Gaza—a reminder of the very individuals we seek to embrace and uplift.
The essence of this campaign extends far beyond a mere display; it is a testament to love and care for our hostages who have endured over 64 days of captivity since the tragic Simchat Torah massacre. By lighting up the city of Bnei Brak with this powerful display, we want to show our brothers and sisters stuck in the darkest place that our prayers, like the flickering candles, reach out to them, a warm embrace that speaks of remembrance and unwavering solidarity.

We are igniting hope in their hearts.
This projection will be live from December 7 until December 15 at the Merkaz Achim building - 86 Rabbi Akiva Street, Bnei Brak. it serves as a testament to our united commitment to those trapped in the shadows, a luminous reminder that they are not forgotten—rather, they are held in the hearts and prayers of a community united in empathy and hope.
Motti Eichler, on behalf of the Achim community, said, “The last two months proved again the Jewish unity and that we are Achim - brothers, one big family. This year we are lighting Hanukkah candles also for our brothers and sisters who are being held in the dark tunnels of evil. so they feel the warmth filling up their souls. May we see them all returned to us very soon."
