The U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF), which oversees the relief to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, reported on Tuesday that it handed out approximately 8,000 food parcels. According to GHF officials, each aid box provides enough food for five and half people for three and a half days, totaling about 462,000 meals. The organization also announced that its personnel "proactively" withdrew from one of its distribution locations due to heavy crowding and "allowed" a small group of residents to safely receive aid and disperse. The action was reportedly carried out according to protocol to prevent casualties, after which regular operations resumed.
