Ukrainian military chaplains learn about Judaism

In an initiative led by the Ukraine Chief Rabbi, chaplains learn about the challenges of Jewish soldiers and discuss what can be done to assist them in their service, especially in times of war

In an extraordinary gathering chaplains providing religious services to members of Ukraine's military arrived at the Brodsky synagogue in Kyiv, led by Colonel Olaxy Trashok, commander of Religious Service, to learn about the city's Jewish community and more. They delved into the Jewish religion and learned about concepts such as Shabbat observance, kosher food, tzitzit, tefillin, to name a few.

man, who was unable to attend the event, sent his congratulations and expressed his gratitude to Ukraine’s Chief of Staff for allowing Jewish soldiers to follow their faith during their military service.
