Trump diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency; White House physician: 'His condition is excellent'

U.S. President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, according to a medical report released during a White House press briefing. In a letter from the White House physician, it was stated that "this is a medical condition where blood flow from the veins in the legs to the heart is abnormal, causing swelling and sometimes pain. It is a common and benign disease among people 70 and older, and the diagnosis came after Trump reported swelling in his legs. Ultrasound tests ruled out blood clots or arterial disease." The White House physician noted that 79-year-old Trump "is in excellent health condition."
