UK hospital probing antisemitic abuse of child patient

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital says investigating allegations that a nine year old ultra-Orthodox boy was mistreated by a nurse 'covered in pro-Palestine badges and stickers and made to lie on the floor to receive an IV

A UK hospital was investigating a complaint that a nine-year old ultra-Orthodox boy was abused by Palestinian supporting staff. The alleged abused at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital was reported by the boy's uncle who said in a post on business networking site LinkedIn that his nephew was made to lie on the floor when he wore his kippah cap but received “quick care” on another occasion when he was not “visibly Jewish”.

“The last time he went in, my visibly Jewish 9 year-old nephew with an autoimmune blood disease was kicked out of his bay by one of the nurses who was covered in Pro-Palestine badges and stickers, and due to that, had to lie on the floor with a cannula [IV] in,” the uncle claimed.

"Coincidentally, today when not visibly Jewish, he received quick care. Also, worth noting, prior to the conflict he received excellent care. “Is this the world we will live in? Is it 1940 again?” the post read.
The Jewish Representative Council wrote to the Manchester University Hospital Foundation Trust, asking for it to investigate the matter and to clarify its stance on wearing “political statements” on uniforms.
“We are aware of images and very serious claims which are circulating on social media, the trust said in a statement. “We are rapidly investigating these to establish the situation and are discussing them with the family involved. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is committed to providing high-quality care to all of our patients.”
Amid a surge in antisemitism in Britain, an advocacy group called Campaign Against Antisemitism posted on X on Friday, a British man making explicit threats against citizens of the UK who serve in the IDF and had taken part in the war on Gaza.
"All returning soldiers who come from Israel back to UK soil are not safe and they are going to be dealt with accordingly and we will catch them with or without anybody's help," the man said on his video post with a heading directing his message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Do you think people like me are going to leave you people alone?" he asked shaking his head. He went on to identify by name a person whom he said has had his picture exposed and that people were actively looking for him "to dish out justice."

He then described how this person would be dragged away from his family. "UK government you didn't listen. Now you're going to see first hand why you should have listened. This is not a threat this is a damn right promise."
