41 U.S. Congress members, mostly Democrats, have called on the CEOs of TikTok, Meta and X to take action against antisemitic content published following the two recent attacks in Washington and Colorado. They claimed that since the attacks, there has been a sharp rise in antisemitic conspiracies on social networks, including claims that the Washington attack was a "false flag operation," alongside responses praising the attacker. The lawmakers are demanding that the companies explain how they handle coded content promoting terrorism, how they decide which content to remove, and how they enforce anti-incitement policies across numerous languages.
