Canada: Stabbing of Jewish woman in supermarket a hate crime; PM Carney: We will stand against hatred

Police in Ottawa determined that the stabbing of a Jewish woman in a supermarket in the city is a hate crime. The woman, in her 70s, was stabbed last week in the kosher food section of the supermarket. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney condemned the act and addressed the Jewish community on his X account: "You are not alone, we will stand with you against hatred. We will work to combat antisemitism wherever it appears."
