The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a landmark decision that the Palestinian Authority and PLO can be sued for terrorist attacks in which American citizens were killed or injured in Israel and the West Bank. The ruling overturns previous decisions that rejected compensation claims for terror victims, including the family of Ari Fuld, an American citizen and resident of Efrat who was murdered in a stabbing attack at Gush Etzion Junction in 2018. The decision establishes that American citizens can file compensation claims if the PA or PLO paid terrorists or operated within U.S. territory. The justices rejected the argument that the law violates the constitutional rights of Palestinian entities.
