US-backed Gaza relief fund begins operations in Gaza Strip

The Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) announced it has begun operations in the Gaza Strip, with the first aid trucks arriving at secured distribution sites to provide food to locals. The fund stated that additional aid convoys will enter tomorrow, with plans to increase aid volume daily. The fund issued a strongly worded statement condemning Hamas's death threats against aid workers at distribution sites, as well as attempts to prevent local population from accessing them. The fund also announced the appointment of John Akkari as interim director, following the resignation of previous CEO Jake Wood.
