US: 5-year prison sentence for man who threatened to bomb Jewish hospitals in New York

Domagoj Petkovic, 31, from Oregon, was sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of making false threats and disseminating false information about bombs and explosives targeting Jewish hospitals in New York.
According to the indictment, Petkovic made a series of anonymous phone calls since May 2021, in which he threatened to blow up medical institutions and nursing centers affiliated with the Jewish community in the city and Long Island.
In one of the calls, the threats led to a partial evacuation and shutdown of an entire hospital. The federal prosecution noted that Petkovic acted with antisemitic motives.
