Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar addressed the murder of Israeli embassy staff in the U.S. during an attack in Washington, writing, "terrible news this morning with the shocking terror attack. Israeli state representatives are always, and particularly during this period, at increased risk. I spoke with our Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter, who arrived at the attack scene, and we are in contact with American authorities. Israel will not surrender to terror."
Consul General in New York Ophir Akunis said: "This is a direct result of severe incitement and unprecedented riots by terror organizations on campuses. Unfortunately, some listened to calls for 'intifada' here too."
