About 300 public figures announce boycott of New York Times over 'biased coverage' in Gaza

More than 300 writers, artists and public figures announced they will boycott the opinion section of the New York Times in protest of what they call "biased coverage" of the war in Gaza Strip. Among the signatories: author Sally Rooney, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, environmental activist Greta Thunberg, historian Rashid Khalidi, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen and Israeli professors Raz Segal and Ariella Azoulay. The signatories demand that the newspaper conduct an internal review of "anti-Palestinian bias," update its style guide on the subject and prohibit the employment of journalists who served in the IDF.
