Democratic House Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for the impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump following the attack on Iran. "This is clear grounds for impeachment," she wrote in a social media post, "Trump impulsively endangered us by starting a war that will last generations." She also called the attack "disastrous." The Democratic minority leader in the House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, also reacted saying: "Trump promised to bring peace to the Middle East. He failed to keep that promise. The risk of war has now dramatically increased, the President misled the public about his intentions and failed to approach Congress for approval to use military force."
