US: Brooklyn Public Defender's Office fires lawyer who encouraged violence against Israelis

The Brooklyn Public Defender's Office in New York fired one of its lawyers after he posted on X calling for violence against Israelis. The post was later removed but sparked outrage and led to an official termination notice from the organization's management. Lisa Schreibersdorf, CEO of the Public Defender's Office, said the comments were "completely contrary to the organization's values" and damaged the reputation of all lawyers and clients represented by the organization.
