President Donald Trump sharply criticized the US Supreme Court’s decision on the import tariffs he imposed, calling the ruling “deeply disappointing.” He also said he is “ashamed of certain members of the court” and argued that while foreign countries may be celebrating the decision, their celebration will not last long.
At the same time, the president signaled he would continue to pursue his policy, saying US tariff revenues “will only continue to grow.”

Asked whether the United States would have to refund money collected under the tariffs, Trump said the matter would likely have to be resolved through litigation and predicted the issue could remain in court for the next five years. He also announced that he would impose global tariffs of 10% for a period of about five months.
Meanwhile, a German government spokesman responded to the Supreme Court’s decision by saying Berlin is monitoring developments and staying in close contact with the US administration to coordinate next steps, with the goal of maintaining orderly, stable and predictable trade relations.
