Elbit to supply Air Force with electronic warfare systems worth $80 million

Israeli defense company set to supply military with self-defense suites made for F-16I Sufa fighter jets aimed to combat a variety of threats

Elbit Systems recently won a tender worth approximately NIS 300 million ($80 million) issued by the Defense Ministry and the Israeli Air Force to develop and install advanced electronic warfare (EW) self-defense suites for the F-16I "Sufa" fighter jet fleet.
The defense suite will include an electronic warfare system for advanced threat disruption and neutralization, an electro-optical system for detecting missile launches during aerial and ground combat, and an advanced chaff and flare system to counter heat-seeking missiles.

These innovative self-defense suites aim to enhance the survivability of the F-16I fleet, enabling safer operations against enemy air defense systems.
"We’re proud to be once again selected by the Defense Ministry and the Israeli Air Force to equip the F-16I fleet with our most advanced self-defense suites," said General Manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR & EW Oren Sabag.
