Israel’s 2023 Eurovision representative Noa Kirel held an event Saturday, celebrating the coming of the new calendar year.
Among the guests were several other prominent local celebrities, including models Neta Alchimister, 2018 Eurovision winner Netta Barzilai and many others.
Celebrations continued well into the night, with Kirel and her guests counting down to midnight with fireworks launched to greet the New Year.
Addressing her guests, Kirel wished for herself to receive the highest possible score in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
Kirel was selected as Israel's representative last November by a 10-member panel, which selected the young singer out of 78 potential candidates. Kirel said she was happy and proud to represent Israel.
The pop star was the leading Israeli artist on TikTok in 2022, according to the social media platform's end-of-year wrap.
Kirel released her hit song "Bell" exclusively on TikTok, with the video receiving some 106 million views. The song quickly became one of her biggest hits.
Currently, the 21-year-old has a total of 13 million likes across all of her videos and hundreds of thousands of followers.
