British actress Jessie Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the “Harry Potter” films, has revealed that her unusual OnlyFans account has become more profitable than her entire acting career.
Cave launched her account in March 2025, but unlike many creators on the platform, she does not share explicit content. Instead, she found a unique niche: videos centered around hair, including brushing sounds, styling and hair-focused fetish content.
The actress announced the launch of her page on Instagram with a video showing herself brushing her long hair.
“It needs the best hair sounds possible, you need to hear the brushing,” she explained in the clip.
Her husband, Alfie Brown, who was filming, responded: “That’s what people like.”
“The sounds,” Cave replied. “But I don’t have money for a microphone.”
More than a year later, Cave has revealed how successful the page became.
“Within one year I easily earned more than I have in my entire acting career,” she told The Times of London.
Subscribers pay $6 a month to access her content, while she also earns additional income from one-time paid messages.
According to Cave, she has earned as much as £15,000 in a single day, around $20,000.
She said she never expected the account to become a long-term project.
“I thought I’d make £5,000, be there for a few months, and it would give me time to figure out what we were going to do,” she said.
“But now it’s been more than a year and a half, and it really saved our lives.”
Cave said she turned to OnlyFans after reaching a point of financial desperation following an unsuccessful acting audition.
“I reached a point of complete desperation after an acting audition that led nowhere,” she said. “I had to provide for my four children.”

She explained that finding alternative work was not simple.
“I couldn’t, for example, work in a supermarket, because I can’t afford childcare, and I also don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me while I’m working at Tesco,” she said.
Cave said she considered retraining but could not afford to pursue a degree.
“I had a breakdown and thought, that’s it, I’m giving up acting. But we also had no money,” she said.
The actress’s OnlyFans content focuses entirely on hair, with Cave appearing fully clothed. She sometimes changes outfits based on themes and occasionally dresses as Lavender Brown, the character she played in “Harry Potter,” for fans.
“My rule is that the hair is the thing,” she explained.
“That’s how I justify it to myself. It is literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It is very, very niche.”
