Ingredients:
- 500 grams ground turkey
- 1 tsp. oat bran
- 2 eggs
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Spring onions, finely chopped
- Salt, pepper
- 1 tsp. sweet paprika
For the sauce:
- 1 tbs. oil
- 2 chopped onions
- 1 bag of frozen string beans
- 800 grams of canned crushed tomatoes
- 200 grams of tomato paste
- 1 tbs brown sugar
- Juice from half a lemon
- Salt, pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups of water
Instructions:
- For meatballs, mix ingredients and cool for at least half an hour.
- For the Sauce, heat oil in a big pot, add onions and fry until golden. Then add the frozen beans and steam for a few minutes until soft. Add the rest of the sauce ingredients, including the water and mix well. Bring to a boil.
- Roll the meat into balls and add them into the sauce, lower the heat, cover and cook for some 40 minutes.
- Serve with rice, or mashed potatoes.
