Ticket sales opened Monday for the Maccabiah 2026 opening ceremony, which will take place July 1 at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem.
The ceremony will launch the summer’s Maccabiah Games, bringing together thousands of Jewish athletes from dozens of countries around the world for competitions across Israel from July 1-13. More than 30 sports are expected to be featured.
The opening event will include performances by several Israeli artists, including Netta Barzilai, Anna Zak, Idan Raichel and Itay Levy, as well as appearances by Montana Tucker, Michael Harpaz, Yuval Raphael, Daniella Gilboa and Edan Alexander. Assi Azar and Anna Aronov will host the evening.
Organizers said the ceremony, directed by Eldar Gohar Grossman, will include a large stage, LED screens, pyrotechnics, hundreds of dancers, the lighting of the Maccabiah torch and a parade of athletes from around the world.
Tucker, an American content creator known for her pro-Israel advocacy and work against antisemitism, is expected to perform an original song and co-host the athletes’ parade with American musician Michael Harpaz.
This year’s Maccabiah will be held under the theme “More Than Ever,” with organizers saying the opening ceremony will have its largest capacity to date. Tickets start at 99 shekels.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
