The wedding of Avner Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been officially postponed amid nationwide emergency restrictions, the event’s organizers confirmed Saturday.
Originally scheduled for Monday, June 16, at the upscale Ronit Farm venue north of Tel Aviv, the high-profile wedding was called off due to ongoing security concerns and Home Front Command regulations, which ban all gatherings under the current emergency status, known as Level 4. The restrictions were imposed following a spike in missile attacks from Iran and its proxies.
Vendors received formal cancellation notices Saturday from the event planning company, stating the wedding would be delayed indefinitely in line with Home Front Command directives. A new date has not yet been set.
“Until the last minute, the couple believed the wedding would go on as planned,” a source close to the couple said. “They were shocked. It’s the second time they’ve had to postpone.”

The event was expected to host several hundred guests in a relatively modest format beside the lake on the private estate, without public officials in attendance. Former chief rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau was set to officiate. Sky Production managed the event, with photographer Haim Afriat and DJ Itay Galo among those contracted. All participants reportedly signed strict confidentiality agreements.

In anticipation of the wedding, a 1.5-kilometer no-fly zone had been established around the venue, with barbed-wire fencing and police checkpoints set up. Local residents had been instructed to work from home. Protest groups had also planned to demonstrate nearby, distributing images of Israeli hostages and blocking access roads—plans that were shelved after the cancellation and emergency declaration.
This marks the second postponement for the couple. The wedding was initially planned for November 26, 2024, and had been rescheduled for summer due to scheduling conflicts. No new date has been announced.
