We are used to seeing Steve Witkoff in tailored suits, shuttling between leaders and trying to broker complex deals in the Middle East. But it turns out the special envoy also has a few seconds of fame on his résumé in one of the most successful television series of all time.
In 2014, The Real Deal, a New York-based real estate news outlet, reported that Witkoff said he was a devoted fan of “Law & Order.” As it happens, even earlier he managed to fulfill the dream of many viewers when he was cast in a guest role on NBC’s long-running original series.

Witkoff appears in Episode 19 of Season 19, titled “All New,” which originally aired on May 6, 2009. The episode centers on the brutal double murder of a firefighter and his wife in their home. The investigation grows more complicated when marked bills and an old link to a drug dealer are uncovered, leading detectives to suspect that someone from within the firehouse itself was involved and may have committed an additional murder to “silence” a potential witness.

Witkoff was cast in a small but symbolic role, known in industry terms as a “bit,” set in the courtroom. He played the jury foreman, the man who rises at the climactic moment of the trial, stands before the judge and delivers the verdict.
“Law & Order” is one of the most successful and influential police dramas in television history. Created by Dick Wolf, the series originally ran for 20 seasons from 1990 to 2010 and returned for another run in 2022. Its format, which opens with the famous “dun-dun” sound, is known for its clear division: the first half focuses on police investigations on the streets of New York, while the second centers on courtroom proceedings — precisely where Witkoff enters the picture.
