‘Fauda’ issues rare warning: October 7 episodes may be 'hard to watch'

Israeli TV provider Yes tells viewers episodes 7 and 8 of the final season are based on Oct. 7 events but stand alone, allowing audiences to skip them and return to the season’s main plot next week

In an unusual move, the producers of “Fauda” have told viewers they may skip two upcoming episodes without losing the thread of the season’s main storyline.
In a message published Sunday by Israeli TV provider Yes, which airs the series in Israel, viewers were warned that episodes 7 and 8, set to air Monday, are based on the events of October 7 and include content, images and sounds that may be difficult to watch.

“We want to say clearly: These episodes return to that terrible day and stand on their own,” the message said. “If watching them is too difficult, it is also okay to skip them and reconnect with the season’s plot, which will continue in the episode airing next week.”
The current season of “Fauda” premiered several weeks ago and is expected to be the show’s final season.
Creators Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff have already begun work on their next project, currently titled “The Therapist.”
According to the production, the new series is “a psychological thriller that combines the world of Middle Eastern espionage with a deep exploration of the human psyche, trauma, guilt and love, which may give the characters a chance at repair.”
