Some users praised her appearance, saying the clip had made them view Israel more favorably. “Move over, Gio. We’re Zionists now,” one user wrote, with another posting, “Israel really is the Promised Land.”
Netanyahu posted the video to push back on viral conspiracy theories on social media claiming he had died and suggesting his hand appeared to have six fingers during a news conference last week, implying the footage was manipulated.
Netanyahu dispels assassination rumors
In the video, Netanyahu is at a café placing an order when the cameraman tells him, “Prime minister, they’re saying on the internet that you’re actually dead.”
Netanyahu responds jokingly: “I’m dying for coffee. I’m dying for my people. Look how they behave — fantastic.”
He then raises both hands toward the camera and says, “Do you want to count the fingers?”
