It’s been a tumultuous year for Oprah Winfrey who after years of struggle has taken her weight seriously and now displays a slim figure.
After first, vehemently denying ed the use of slimming medications she admitted in December of 2023 that she had taken them despite having shared her opposition to them with her audiences over the years.
In an interview to People Magazine she said making fun of her was a public sport to make fun of her for 25 years. "I have been blamed and shamed, and I blamed and shamed myself."
Recalling one particular article that mocked her she said, "I didn’t feel angry. I felt sad. I felt hurt. I swallowed the shame. I accepted that it was my fault."
But now she has reached a point where she is finally satisfied with her body.
She managed to annoy her many fans in her recent podcast with Dr. Ania Jastreboff, an expert in Obesity Medicine at Yale.
“One of the things that I realized the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people, those people just had more willpower,” she said. “They ate better foods. They were able to stick to it longer. They never had a potato chip. And then I realized the very first time I took the GLP-1 that, oh, they’re not even thinking about it, they’re only eating when they’re hungry and they’re stopping when they’re full.”
