There are many things that can be said about U.S. President Donald Trump, but one thing that certainly cannot be said about him is that he is someone with tact, who thinks twice before speaking, for better or worse.
“We also have a woman that is so respected and so hot and so great, and such a great friend of — I don't say conservative, I say of common sense,” Trump, 80, told the audience at an event held Monday at the Rose Garden. “And she's got real talent, Nicki Minaj.”

In his later remarks, the president asked the rapper to stand and again emphasized that “she's a fantastic person and she's a woman that's respected by everybody.”
Later in the event, while speaking about the Small Business Administration, Trump mentioned Minaj, 43, once again, saying: “They call it small business, Nicki, but when you add it up, it’s bigger than any back in the world, probably, right? It's not small business, but she's done fantastically and I appreciate it.”

Minaj, who was among many guests at the Rose Garden event, was seen smiling in photos taken during the luncheon as she sipped iced tea at one of the garden tables.
After the lunch, the rapper updated her fans about her visit to the White House.
The friendship between Minaj and Trump has been documented numerous times over the years, particularly after he was elected to a second term as president in November 2024.

Since then, the rapper has become a regular guest at Trump events, including the Trump Accounts Summit held in January 2026. “I will say that I am probably the president's number one fan, and that's not going to change,” Minaj told the audience after Trump invited her onstage in Washington, D.C.
“The hate or what people have to say — it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. O.K.? He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen.”
