Israeli journalist Sivan Rahav-Meir leaves Channel 12 after over 20 years

Rahav-Meir boasts an impressive career at the Israeli channel; she reportedly said she would rather focus on lecturing and authoring books

Israeli journalist and news anchor Sivan Rahav-Meir has decided to leave the country’s Channel 12 after more than 20 years, Ynet learned on Thursday.
Rahav-Meir took an unpaid leave of absence about a year ago to focus on her lectures but recently decided not to return, effectively ending her long tenure with the network.

In recent years, she has hosted the weekly Friday Torah class on Israeli channel Keshet and will continue to do so despite leaving the news division.

In private conversations, Rahav-Meir, who previously served as a Knesset correspondent and anchor, confirmed the decision, saying she now prefers to focus on lectures and writing books.
