Following a tense weekend amid military conflict with Iran, Caitlyn Jenner has left Israel. Despite the closure of Israeli airspace due to Iran’s missile attacks, the reality TV star exited the country via a land crossing into Jordan and is expected to continue to her next destination by air. According to Israel’s Transportation Ministry, the land border used by Jenner remains open.

Jenner arrived in Israel last Wednesday to participate in Pride Week events. Hours after her arrival, Operation Rising Lion began with Israeli strikes in Iran. The pride events were subsequently canceled and airspace was shut down, but Jenner remained in the country. On Friday night, she sheltered in a secure room and posted: “'Quiet' night in Tel Aviv. Pray for us all, We will prevail. I am happy to stand with Israel today, now more than ever."

International media closely followed Jenner’s visit. One outlet reported, “Caitlyn Jenner under fire in Israel,” while the UK-based New Arab accused the former Olympic athlete of endorsing alleged Israeli crimes against Palestinians by visiting both the Tel Aviv Pride and the site of the October 7 Hamas massacre.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that “Jenner’s trip to Israel’s Pride disrupted by outbreak of war with Iran.” Daily Mail reported: “Caitlyn Jenner and CNN’s Scott Jennings stranded in Israel amid nuclear war fears.” The Mirror added: “Caitlyn Jenner trapped in Israel after Iranian missile strike, begs ‘pray for us.’” LGBTQ Nation reported: “Jenner was set to be a guest of honor at Tel Aviv Pride, canceled amid fears of Iranian retaliation.”

Jenner’s family also spoke to international media, describing her response to the escalation. “Caitlyn had cell service throughout the first wave of attacks and remained calm,” a relative said, adding that she sipped red wine and reassured her family she was safe and trusted Israel to protect her.
Another family member said the entire Jenner family followed the news closely and remained in constant contact. “She’s in great spirits, not showing any signs of worry, and truly believes everything will be fine,” the relative said.
