Friday will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with a chance of drizzle or light local rain during the morning along Israel’s coastal plain, particularly the southern coast.
Temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged and close to seasonal averages across most of the country.
Heavy heat stress is expected in the Sea of Galilee basin, along the Dead Sea coast, in the Jordan Valley and in the Arava. Friday night will be clear to partly cloudy.
On Saturday, the Sukkot holiday, temperatures are expected to fall slightly. Little change is forecast for Sunday.
Temperatures will rise slightly on Monday, although light local rain is expected at times in northern Israel.
The Israel Meteorological Service said Thursday that the longer-range forecast remains uncertain, but weather conditions could shift during the intermediate days of Sukkot, with rain possible in several parts of the country.
Rain is expected to begin in the north on Tuesday. By Tuesday night and Wednesday, there is a possibility that it could spread southward, bringing a risk of flash floods.
