After a week that shattered Israel’s November heat records, unseasonably hot and dry weather is set to continue in the coming days, with strong easterly winds across inland areas — before a major shift brings long-awaited rain by the weekend.
Sunday’s weather will be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with temperatures rising slightly and conditions turning hotter than usual — even reaching heatwave levels, especially in the mountains and interior regions. In the afternoon, strong northwesterly winds will blow along the coastal plain. Overnight, skies will become partly to mostly cloudy, with possible reduced visibility in coastal and lowland areas and the northern Negev.
On Monday, the hot and dry conditions will persist, peaking with strong easterly winds in the mountains and humidity dropping to 10–15% in inland regions. A significant drop in temperatures is expected Tuesday, though they will remain above seasonal averages. Another mild decrease is forecast for Wednesday.
By Thursday, temperatures will fall further, and by the weekend, rain is finally expected — possibly the first widespread and significant rainfall event of the season, though forecasters say it’s still unclear where, how long, and how intensely it will fall.
