Mt. Hermon is covered in beautiful snow but area still under Hezbollah threat

Snow is piling up on Mt. Hermon at Israel's northern tip, but due to the constant attacks from the Lebanese terror group the site remains a closed-off military area, and skiers are forbidden from visiting

The Mt. Hermon site, which has been designated as a closed military area, is currently experiencing a substantial accumulation of pristine white snow. Overnight, the temperature on the mountain plummeted, reaching a frigid 24.8°F, or -4°C, at its lower level. The snow depth measures approximately 3.3 feet at the lower level and about 5.3 feet at the upper level.

However, the tranquility was disrupted earlier on Tuesday when two anti-tank missiles were launched from Lebanon toward positions on Mt. Hermon. No casualties were reported and, in response, the IDF swiftly retaliated by targeting the sources of the attack.
Miki Inbar, vice-president of marketing and spokeswoman for the site, recently talked about the dismal situation with Ynet. "The majority of our permanent employees are currently on unpaid leave, with only a small team responsible for site maintenance continuing to work. As for the seasonal workers who typically join us every winter, there are approximately 300," she said.
